Function documentationUse of Multiple Policy Systems

You can integrate multiple policy systems with SAP Claims Management. This is necessary if there are multiple policies with the same policy number in multiple policy systems.

In SAP Claims Management, the system links each claim with the ID of the relevant policy system. To determine the ID of the policy system, SAP Claims Management uses the policy number that is assigned to the relevant claim.

Integration

The default implementation of business add-in (BAdI) BADI_ICL_POLS_IMPORT_POLS (class CL_DEF_IM_ICL_POLS_IMPORT_POLS) permits the integration of multiple policy systems in the POLICY_LOAD method.

Prerequisites

SAP Claims Management

You have performed the following Customizing activities in Customizing of SAP Claims Management under Start of the navigation path Claims Management Next navigation step Claim Next navigation step Technical Settings End of the navigation path:

  • Define RFC Target Systems

Policy Management System

You have assigned the required policy numbers to each policy system. The active implementation of the BAdI BADI_ICL_POLS_IMPORT_POLS needs this information to return the ID of the policy system to SAP Claims Management.

Activities

When you create a corresponding claim, the system displays a list with the possible policy systems whose ID matches the policy of the claim. Select the appropriate policy system ID from this list.

SAP Claims Management then saves the policy system ID in the claim.
