You can use this business function to broaden your sales offering to multiple channels by making classification data for generic articles and variants available in SAP CRM. Retailers who deal with generic articles, especially in the fashion industry, need to work with their articles by characteristic (for example, color and size) in SAP CRM.

When you activate this business function, you can replicate the classification data of generic articles and variants to SAP CRM as part of the standard replication of article master data.

Features

Replication of Master Data of Generic Articles

You can replicate the following from SAP Retail (SAP ERP) to SAP CRM:

  • Article master data (relevant for all article categories)

  • Classification data of variant-creating characteristics (relevant only for generic articles and variants)

The replication of generic articles and variants supports only variant-creating characteristics. The replication does not support informative characteristics (for example, clothing care instructions).
