With this business function, you can logically segment materials based on certain attributes, for example, Quality and Customer segment. This business function enables you to use the following features:

  • Segmentation Dependent Valuation Data

  • Material Segmentation in Manufacturing Processes

  • Material Segmentation in Purchasing Documents such as Request for Quotation, Quotation, and Scheduling Agreement

  • Default Requirement Segmentation Value determination during requirement planning (MRP)

  • Consumption Priority to define the sequence in which the system consumes the planned independent requirements (PIR)

  • Material Segmentation in Warehouse Management Processes
