Integration of SAP QM with SAP-EWM (CIF-Transfer: Material Master Data
This product feature enables you to transfer data via CIF from the material master in SAP ERP to the product master data in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).
The system transfers the following material master data from SAP ERP to the product master data in SAP EWM:
The value of the period indicator for shelf life expiration date, which is displayed on the Plant data / stor. 1 tab page of the material master.
The material type shown in the master data header.
The inspection interval, which is displayed on the Quality management tab page of the material master
In the standard system, the fields are transferred with the material master data. If you want to set change pointers specifically for the fields for the transfer to SAP EWM, you need to activate the business function LOG_SCM_EWM_INT
. To specify that the additional fields are relevant for the change pointers, you also need to activate the general CIF functions, and select the checkboxes for message types CIFMAT and CIFVEN in the Customizing activity Activate ALE Change Pointers for Message Types
