As of SAP enhancement package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 support package 7, a state of the art hierarchical document flow UI has been made available for the agency business application.
In many situations, it is necessary to check and verify the document flow in different business steps of a settlement process. In complex payment or settlement scenarios, it is essential that the user gets a complete view of the overall document flow, independent of the level of the payment or settlement chain in which the user opened a document. In document navigation, it is necessary to keep the flow context for the user visible so that he or she can obtain the maximum information from the flow data.
The main differences between the classic and hierarchical document flow application are:
The hierarchical document flow is now integrated within the standard header, item, and overview view of agency business documents.
The document flow context is visible and stable in document flow navigation.
Standard and customizable information can also be displayed in column sets, without having to navigate to a special document on flow level.
Different flow views can be configured. The user can choose between the complete, preceding, and follow-on document flow.
The document flow layout can be personalized separately for single and list documents.
A BAdI can be used to enrich dynamic data on flow level.
The item-based document flow is supported only by the classic document flow application.
