By setting various system statuses, you specify which activities the system or users can carry out for an order or an operation. If you have assigned notifications to the order, you can determine that the status of the notifications depends on the system status of the order.
You have activated the business function Simplified Management of EAM Functions 3 (LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY_3
).
To be able to specify that the notification status depends on the status of the order it is assigned to, you must also activate business function Simplified Management of EAM Functions 4 (LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY_4
).
By choosing the Set System Status
pushbutton, you can make the following changes to the system statuses: Put in Process
, Release
, Complete (Technically)
, Cancel technical completion
, Complete (Business)
, Cancel business completion
, Do not execute
, Lock
, Unlock
, Set Deletion Flag
, Reset Deletion Flag
.
Note
If you are working with WCM-relevant orders, you can also set the Work Completed
(WOCO
) status. This is a prerequisite for technical completion and also makes all further processing of work permits impossible.
After you have created an order, you can put it in process
and after all the required information has been entered, you can release
it. In Plant Maintenance, the system status technically complete
means the order is completed or closed. However, order settlement can still be carried out. The status Closed
is final and means the order is locked and can no longer be changed.
Note
You can set the system statuses directly in the Order and Notification List
as well.
You can display the system statuses you have set as well as the user statuses by choosing the Status Information
pushbutton in the maintenance order. The technical IDs of the system statuses that are set for the current order are displayed in the Identification Region. The descriptions of these system statuses are displayed in a tooltip.
For more information about the system statuses of orders, see System Statuses for Orders.
If you have assigned notifications to a maintenance order, you can determine that the status of the notifications depends on the status of the order. When you change the system status of the order, a popup appears so you can decide what you want the system to do with the assigned notifications. In your user default settings for EAM (transaction eam_user
) on the EAMS Web UI
tab, you can specify that the system should dynamically display a popup with options when the order status is changed, or you can specify that the system should always set a specific notification status in conjunction with a specific order status. For example, you can specify that when you technically complete an order, all the assigned notifications should always be completed as well.
This function is enabled for the following orders statuses:
Complete Technically
You can specify whether the assigned notifications should also be completed or whether they should remain in process.
Cancel Technical Completion
You can specify whether the assigned notifications should also be put in process again or whether they should remain completed.
Complete (Business)
You can specify whether the assigned notifications should also be completed or whether they should remain in process.
Set Deletion Flag
You can specify whether or not the assigned notifications should be flagged for deletion along with the order.
Reset Deletion Flag
You can specify whether the assigned notifications should also be put in process again or whether they should remain flagged for deletion.
Do Not Execute
You can specify whether the assigned notifications should be completed, whether they should retain their current status, or whether the notifications assigned to the order via the object list should be removed from the object list.
Confirmation: Technically Complete Order
You can specify whether the assigned notifications should also be completed or whether they should remain in process.
Note
The system can only change the system status of assigned notifications if this status change is possible for all notifications. For example, if a deletion flag has been set manually for one of the notifications and therefore a status change to Complete
is not possible for this notification, all other notifications retain their status and are not completed.
