Effects on Existing Data

An active implementation for the BAdI BADI_PLM_AUD_ROLES_RSTR (BAdI: Restriction of Partner Roles for Audit Components) must be available.

You can call the BAdI in Customizing for Audit Management under Start of the navigation path Cross-Application Components Next navigation step Audit Management Next navigation step System Adjustment Next navigation step Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) Next navigation step BAdIs Within the Audit Application End of the navigation path. The BAdI is valid for object types in Audit Management and FMEA.

Additional Details

In the standard system, a default implementation of the BAdI is delivered with which you can restrict the roles for an FMEA type:

  • In Customizing you have set the Restrict Roles indicator for an FMEA under Start of the navigation path Quality Management Next navigation step Quality Planning Next navigation step Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Next navigation step Control Data Next navigation step Data Objects: Properties, Forms End of the navigation path.

  • If you want to restrict the partner roles for an FMEA type, specify the permitted roles for an FMEA type in Customizing under Start of the navigation path Quality Management Next navigation step Quality Planning Next navigation step Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Next navigation step FMEA Definition Next navigation step FMEA Types End of the navigation path in the Settings for Roles folder.

  • If you then change existing FMEAs whose roles deviate from the specified roles, the system issues a warning.

  • If you specify differing partner roles when you create FMEAs, the system displays an error message.

If you want to restrict the partner roles for preventive actions, detection actions, and question lists, you must create your own customer-specific implementation of the BAdI.

Effects on Customizing

The Restrict Roles indicator is offered in Customizing under Start of the navigation path Quality Management Next navigation step Quality Planning Next navigation step Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Next navigation step Control Data Next navigation step Data Objects: Properties, Forms End of the navigation path.
