Prerequisites

You have created a benefit catalog.

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Insurance Next navigation step Master Data Next navigation step Benefit, Services, and Fees Catalogs Next navigation step Create Catalog Items End of the navigation path.

    The Create Catalog Items: Initial Screen appears.

  2. Use the F4 input help to choose the benefit catalog and variant.

  3. Enter an alphanumerical key for the new benefit catalog item.

  4. Choose Enter.

    The Create Catalog Items: General Data screen appears.

  5. Enter the following:

    • Short and long text

    • Catalog item type

    • Data for the evaluation

    • Tax code

    • Benefit type

      Here you can enter one of the following:

      • Enter a benefit type directly

      • Define a BRFplus expression for dynamic determination of the benefit type

    • Indicators, such as reimbursability

    • Additional attributes

      If additional attributes have been defined for the relevant benefit catalog, you can maintain these on the Additional Attributes tab page.

    • Point values

      For more information on all entry data in step 5, see the appropriate part of the documentation in Benefit Catalog Item.

  6. Save your entries.

Result

You can use the benefit catalog item in claims processing.
