Creation of Authorizations in Customizing

In the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide (IMG), you can define the required authorization groups and create authorizations under Start of the navigation path SAP Insurance Next navigation step Claims Management Next navigation step Claim Next navigation step Technical Settings Next navigation step Authorizations End of the navigation path.

SAP provides the predefined role SAP_IBSFS_ICL_ALL for the Claims Management system; it contains all authorizations for the Claims Management system.

Authorization Objects

The following authorizations are available in the Claims Management system:

Authorization Object

I_ICL_CTYP

Claims processing

You can use this authorization object to control access to claims, dependent on the internal claim type.

I_ICL_ACLM

Processing of VIP claims

You can use this authorization object to control access to claims with special importance (VIP claims).

I_ICL_SCLT

Subclaim

You can use this authorization object to control access to subclaims, dependent on the subclaim type.

I_ICLPOLSE

Policy snapshot

You can use this authorization object to control authorization to change contract details. This authorization is stored in the policy snapshot.

I_ICLPOLNR

Changing the contract number

You can use this authorization object to control the authorization to change the contract number in a claim.

I_ICL_RI

Interface to reinsurance system

You use this authorization object to control the authorization to transfer loss and settlement data from SAP Claims Management to the integrated reinsurance system.

I_ICLSC

Benefits, services, and fees catalogs

You can use this authorization object to control access to items in benefits, services, and fees catalogs, and benefit catalog variants.

I_ICL_PROC

Claim item groupings

You can use this authorization object to control access to claim item groupings. This definition depends on the following details:

  • Claim item grouping category

  • Internal claim type

  • Subclaim type

I_ICL_AGRP

Payments and subrogation/recovery

You can use this authorization object to control the authorization to process payments and subrogation/recovery.

I_ICLF_CHK

Check lot

You can use this authorization object to control the authorization to display the configured check lot and the next available check number.

I_ICL_SUBX

Claim subobjects (such as notes)

You can use this authorization object to execute authorization checks for claim subobjects (such as notes). You can use this authorization object to control authorization assignment when creating notes.

Role-based performer

You can use this authorization object to control manual performer assignment in Role-Based Performer.

I_ICL_LIT

Litigation

You can use this authorization object to control access to litigation. This definition depends on the internal claim type.

I_ICL_NEG

Negotiation

You can use this authorization object to control access to negotiation.

This definition depends on the internal claim type.

I_ICL_ACT

Tasks/log entries in the claim (see also Activity Management)

You can use this authorization object to control authorizations for tasks and log entries in the claim.

B_BSFC

Structured facts capture

You can use this authorization object to control the authorization to change questions or answers in structured facts capture.

I_ICL_SUP

Supplemental reserves

You can use this authorization object to control which activities can be executed for supplemental reserves.

I_ICLE_CAT

Claim bundle

You can use this authorization object to control access to claim bundles, dependent on the claim bundle type.

I_ICLE_ACT

Tasks/log entries in claim bundle

You can use this authorization object to control authorizations for tasks and log entries in the claim bundle.
