 Enhancements for Materials in the Order (Web UI)

 

You can use this product feature in maintenance orders on the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance. It enables you to both copy materials as well as display and change the requirements date of individual materials:

  • Being able to copy materials that have already been assigned to an order operation makes it easier to assign several materials with similar data.

  • Being able to display and manually overwrite the requirements date make it easier to schedule the required material quantity. Up to now, this function was only available in the corresponding SAP GUI transactions.

Effects on Existing Data

When you open the Operation Data of a maintenance order on the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance, the following new functions are available on the Materials tab page:

  • You can select one or more materials in the list and copy them by choosing the new pushbutton Copy Material. You can then change the copied material data as required.

  • In the new column Requirements Date, the system displays the date on which the required material quantity should be available. This date is automatically determined. If you manually overwrite it, the system automatically selects the checkbox in the new column Manual Reqmt Date and no longer allows this material to be automatically scheduled.

    The requirements date and the Manual Reqmt Date checkbox are also available if you use the BAPI BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to process maintenance orders.
