Features

Commodity Management Analytics: Free Characteristics in SD

You can now maintain free characteristics in sales contracts and sales orders at item level. You define them in the classification system, and can then use them to set up integrated HANA-based position reporting and MtM reporting in SAP TRM based on a book structure:

  • Free characteristics can be assigned to characteristics in the analysis structure in SAP TRM.

  • When sales contracts or sales orders are created or changed, free characteristics values can be transferred to commodity raw exposures and subsequent reporting structures in SAP TRM.

  • The same holds for outbound deliveries that have been created with reference to a sales order containing free characteristics.

  • You can set up HANA-based reporting on commodity positions and MtM to evaluate free characteristics values from sales documents as well as the corresponding characteristic values from the analysis structures as used in derivative contracts in SAP TRM.

Commodity Management Analytics: MtM Calculation at Delivery

You can now perform an MtM calculation based on SD deliveries. This is specifically relevant if you are using batches in deliveries and want the current values in batch characteristics to be considered in the MtM calculation.

In addition, the MtM values calculated for sales orders, deliveries, and final invoices can now be persisted in their own database tables. This enables you to:

  • Report on a history of MtM values by document (day-over-day reporting for MtM)

  • Consume MtM values more easily in HANA queries

Pricing: Display Variant for Pricing Elements in Documents

With this feature, you can define a display variant for pricing elements. You can apply this display variant in a business document to define which pricing elements of a pricing procedure are displayed and which are not displayed, if this pricing procedure is determined in a business document.

Note Note

  • In Customizing, you can create multiple variants for a pricing procedure.

  • The standard setting is that no display variant is applied in a business document.

Pricing: Analysis Enhancement

With this feature, you can retrace how the system found all condition records and especially all CPE formulas, CPF formulas, and their parts. In addition, you can analyze how the system calculated the quantities and prices and how the system determined the quotation periods.

Depending on the conditions used in a business document, you can choose between the following analysis options:

  • Condition determination

  • CPE formula determination

  • CPE formula evaluation

  • BRFplus trace for CPF

Note Note

For this analysis option, see SAP Note 2019488.

End of the note.

You can use the analysis options in a business document in the following standard pricing views:

  • Pricing Elements: Tree: View that displays details of complex condition data, especially designed for document conditions that include data from commodity pricing engine (CPE) formulas or configurable parameters and formulas (CPF) formulas.

  • CPE Formulas and Terms: Fast entry view to handle multiple CPE condition types.

    Note Note

You cannot use the analysis of BRFplus trace for CPF on the CPE Formulas and Terms view

    End of the note.
  • Pricing Elements: Table 2: View that displays the pricing elements in table format and the agreed conversion factors.

In addition, you can use the analysis options in a business document in configured pricing views.

Pricing: Details for Calculation with Price Fixation Exercises

With this feature, you can display detail data with regards to the calculation with price fixation exercises by choosing the Details button in the Exercising of Price Fixation Option (Terms) area:

  • Remainder Term of a price fixation with the non-fixed quantity and its term rate.

  • Weighted Term Rate as result of the rate of the exercise term or the remainder term multiplied by its commodity quantity and divided bythe commodity quantity of the term for which the price fixation option has been created.

    Note Note

The term values are displayed only for informational purposes; the system uses only the weighted term rates to calculate the term rate and further calculation results.

    End of the note.
  • Converted Commodity Quantity of the exercise terms and the remainder term.

Note Note

The system converts the quantity if the unit of measure of the term rate does not equal the unit of measure of the commodity quantity.

End of the note.

You can use this feature in a business document in the following standard pricing views:

  • Pricing Elements: Tree: View that displays details of complex condition data, especially designed for document conditions that include data from commodity pricing engine (CPE) formulas or configurable parameters and formulas (CPF) formulas.

  • CPE Formulas and Terms: Fast entry view to handle multiple CPE condition types.
