With this business function, you can use materials in product structure and assembly management, in iPPE, and in the BOM.
This enables you to use SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) and the material requirements planning run in ERP (PP-MRP) simultaneously.

Checking the Assignment of Low-Level Code
The low-level code must be unique for material requirements planning. A consistent assignment of low-level code is the basis for the material requirements planning run. The low-level code defines the sequence in which the materials are planned in the MRP run.
Recursion Checks
An extended check takes place for product strucure and assembly management, iPPE, and the BOM to avoid recursive structures. The recursion check for iPPE and the BOM was enhanced to include a recursion check in both structures.
You can also use the RDISCALC
report to carry out a global recursion check. All BOMs and iPPE objects that exist in the database are loaded and the check is carried out.
