You can use this function to search for vehicles in vehicle stock that fulfill specific criteria:
You can search for one or more vehicles according to specific search criteria, such as model, vehicle status, availability, and location.
If you have configured a vehicle using the New Configuration function, you can copy this configuration, possibly change it, and then use it for the vehicle search.
The system determines configuration data based on a validity date. For example, a new color for a vehicle model is only available for the configuration starting on a specific date.
If the configuration contains multi-value characteristics, you can decide which search mode you want the system to use (search with OR, search with AND, exact search). The system flags multi-value characteristics with an asterisk *
. You can configure default values for the search mode by using the Personalization function.
If you find a vehicle with the configuration you want, you can reserve it for the end customer, directly create a sales order for the end customer, or carry out otheruser actions in a separate browser window.
You can also display detailed information for each vehicle and SD document in a separate browser window.
To determine configuration data based on a validity date, you have installed the Engineering Change Management (LO-ECH) component and have made the appropriate Customizing settings under .
To add fields to the vehicle search, you can implement the DPVMS_BADI_VEHICLE_SEARCH BAdI. Make this Customizing setting under
