You use this business function to activate the calculation of benefit reductions for the Social Services
application component.
In SAP ERP, the SAP menu and Customizing activities for Social Services have been incorporated in the menu and Customizing settings for the application component Public Sector Management
(PSM). To access the menu and Customizing settings for Public Sector Management, you must activate the mandatory business configuration sets (BC sets) for the Enterprise Extension Public Services (EA-PS)
.
Social services processing, on the basis of social applications, social service plans and social deduction plans, takes place in the SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) System. The data required for calculation and billing is replicated from here to SAP ERP. The functions in SAP CRM are based on the additional mandatory business function Social Services, Reductions
(CRM_IPS_4S_5
).

In the Business Function Set Public Services (Industry Extension SAP for Public Sector)

, activate the generic business function Public Services (EA-PS)
(see Business Function Set Public Services).
You should also activate the business function Social Services, Reductions
(CRM_IPS_4S_5
in SAP CRM with this business function.
Once you have activated the business functions described above, make the following settings in the ERP Customizing settings for Social Services

.The functions described in the following are only available if you have activated both business functions for Social Services in the SAP ERP and SAP CRM Systems.
Calculation of benefit reductions has been fully integrated in the gross entitlement calculation and the gross payment calculation. Reduction amounts are listed in the gross entitlement document as reduction items with negative amounts. Note the following special features regarding the reduction calculation exit to be defined:
A benefit reduction is only allowed in the system if the total produced by the reduction amounts and the associated entitlement amounts in an entitlement period is not negative.
Retroactive reductions are displayed as under or overpayments with a positive amount in the gross payment documents. Reduction amounts are negative for regular payments.
You define the tax category for reductions in a BAdI implementation. In this BAdI (BADI_PSSC00_GE_TAX_CATEGORY
), you can also define the tax category for entitlement amounts and in doing so separate this from the entitlement calculation exit.
Archiving of benefit reductions has been fully integrated in the existing SXP and NCD data archiving.
