CFG.03 Message “SAP GUI failed to start <transaction>”

Symptom

You receive this error message: SAP GUI failed to start <transaction> .

Solution

Check your entry in the SAP GUI Logon Description field. Make sure you have entered a correct value for the SAP GUI Logon Description field, for example, SYS [PUBLIC] . This value must correspond exactly to what is specified in SAP Logon (or else NWBC cannot find and use the settings).
