Use

An APO product is an object that is used, consumed, or created within the production process. A product is created and maintained as part of APO master data. It is either location-specific and assigned to a specific location, or not location-specific and is not assigned to a location.

Products can be arranged into hierarchical relationships such as product families and product groups. Hierarchies can be created for both products and location products.
