
You can now define the step signatures, that is, which application data is written in which step.
These signatures must be sufficient to define the relationships between the steps, or to allow the unique assignment of steps to each other in the reconstruction of the process instances (correlation data), and to provide the required values for the metrics. You cancan also write other values from the application, for example, to use them for analysis if an error occurs. This data can then be read using the API or taken from the step details of the PMI instance display, and, in some circumstances, can also be used to call of application tools from the PMI interface.
