Required Business Function |
For BI Content Activation Workbench. |
This business function helps you to use analytic content more efficiently.
The BI Content Activation Workbench has been enhanced, and new and enhanced analytic user interface building blocks (UIBBs) for Floorplan Manager applications have been added. Various functions have also been added to the List Report on Analytic Query
application.
Operational Data Provisioning
is a concept that allows you to analyze the operative data of a backend system.
You have installed the following components as of the version specified:

Operational Analytics |
You have activated the Enhancements for Business Suite Analytics
(FND_ANALYTICS_TOOLS
) business function which allows you to activate analytic content with the BI Content Activation Workbench.
You can use the BI Content Activation Workbench to search and activate BI Content that is grouped for business processes or value scenarios according to specific business criteria.
If you use the BI Content Activation Workbench for Operational Analytics, all the relevant objects are activated (including the corresponding operational data providers (ODPs) and DataSources).
Operational Data Provisioning
is a metadata concept in SAP NetWeaver that gives an analytic query access to operative data in a backend system. It also supports replication scenarios.
Predefined content is delivered for operational reporting for various application areas.
For more information about the configuration of Operational Analytics
, see SAP Solution Manager under .
Note
Operational Data Provisioning
and the analytics search use a common modeling environment. In the modeling of the search and analytics model, an operational data provider (ODP) is defined on the basis of DataSources.
Additionally, you can change the search and analytics models, or create your own models.
For more information about the concept, see the documentation of SAP NetWeaver under Operational Data Provisioning and Operational Analytics with Operational Data Provisioning.
For more information, see the Operational Data Provisioning (New) Release Note.
In addition to the WDA_BS_ANLY_LIST
application (Object Instance Floorplan
), the WDA_BS_ANLY_LIST_OVP
application is provided, which is based on the Overview Page
floorplan. This application provides the following functions:
List Drilldown
You can change the list drilldown by adding characteristics to the list, removing them, or changing the sequence.
Information on Report
You can display information on the report, such as selections or the description and technical name of the query.
Integration of Analytic Hierarchical List
A hierarchical list is displayed in the WDA_BS_ANLY_LIST_OVP
application under certain circumstances.
See Hierarchical List Component with Analytics Feeder Class.
Adaptation
You can make adaptations to the WDA_BS_ANLY_LIST_OVP
application.
For the List Report on Analytic Query
FPM application, SAP delivers the following adaptations that control the drilldown behavior of the list: BSA_ADAPT
= 1 (No Drilldown Allowed), BSA_ADAPT
= 2 (Vertical Drilldown Allowed) and BSA_ADAPT
= 3 (Horizontal and Vertical Drilldown Allowed).
Integration in Launchpad
You can use application category List Report
to call the List Report on Analytic Query
FPM application from the launchpad. In the launchpad, you can also enter list-related parameters (such as an analytic query) and define the assignment of parameters for a context-sensitive call.
See Calling List Report on Analytic Query Application from Launchpad.
Calling List By URL
You can also call the application by URL and provide the parameters for a context-sensitive call.
See Calling List Report on Analytic Query Application By URL.
For more information about the List Report on Analytic Query
, see Analytic Components in Floorplan Manager (CA-EPT-ANL).
You can use new and enhanced analytic user interface building blocks for FPM applications to add analytic content to FMP applications without development effort.
You can simply embed analytic information in an application in the form of a chart, such as a bar chart or doughnut chart.
The graphic is created with the Internet Graphics Server (SAP Business Graphics
).
You can use the chart component BS_ANLY_CHART_UIBB
with the analytics feeder class CL_BS_ANLY_CHART_FEEDER
to display the result of an analytic query as a chart.
You can also use your own feeder classes for other data sources.
See Chart Component.
You can change the display or drilldown of the list, display information about the query, and determine additional navigation destinations through the launchpad.
You can use the following functions:
Change Drilldown
In the drilldown of the analytics list component, you can determine whether and how the user can change the drilldown of the list. You have the following options: No Drilldown Allowed
, Vertical Drilldown Allowed
and Vertical and Horizontal Drilldown Allowed
.
You can change the list drilldown at runtime by adding characteristics to the list, removing them, or changing the sequence. In the Drilldown Settings
, you can see which characteristics and key figures are available, and you can move them by drag and drop or using the context menu.
Display Information on Report
You can display information on the report, such as selections, the description and technical name of the query, description of the view, or report date. This information is useful if you wish to export or print the report.
Determine Navigation Destinations
You can now also enter a launchpad in the configuration by determining additional navigation destinations. In addition to the destinations defined in the report-report interface (RRI), the user can also navigate at runtime to destinations that you have defined in the launchpad.
You can use the hierarchical list component with the analytics feeder class CL_BS_ANLY_TREE_FEEDER
to display an analytic query in a hierarchy. However the analytic query must fulfill certain prerequisites.
See Hierarchical List Component with Analytics Feeder Class.
If an analytic query contains variables for hierarchies or a hierarchy name, a value help is provided. You can use a value help for query variables of the Hierarchy Node
and Hierarchy Name
types. You can use the value help if you use the analytics search component with analytics feeder class CL_BS_ANLY_LIST_SEARCH_FEEDER
and an analytic query that uses variables for hierarchy nodes or hierarchy names.
