Query Query: 0WM_MP05_Q0003

You can use this query to display and analyze the number, weight, volume, and effort for confirmed picking warehouse tasks (WT). You can see these tasks grouped by hour, day, week, or month. This information can reveal trends to help you make the following decisions:

  • Adjust the warehouse work schedules according to demand

  • Hire new workers, or let existing workers go

  • Request additional budget for expenses such as extra equipment

You can drill down to specific warehouse areas to determine when to move workers around the warehouse to meet demands, or when to move more stock to those areas.

The following points are specifics about this query:

  • A pick WT is a product WT or handling unit (HU) WT that is executed in the first step of an outbound process. This query uses the warehouse number and day, week, and month time intervals. The time intervals are determined by the confirmation date and time of the WT.

  • Since picking task occurs in the first step of an outbound process, this query does not monitor the outbound process end-to-end.

  • The query does not compare planned execution time and total execution time because these KPIs are each based on different data.

  • The query does not support drill-down by product.

  • The Employee free characteristic behaves as follows: if the Labor Management (LM) component is active in the EWM system, Employee contains the value of the Processor field. If the Processor field is empty (LM is not active), then the system takes the value of the Confirmed By field.

  • The query can help you identify a cross-dock picking WT if you know the source storage type assigned to it. If you do not know the source storage type assigned to a cross-dock picking WT, you can use the document category field (0WM_RDOCCAT) to look for document category types that denote cross-dock picking (PDI). However you would need to modify the query to display this.

    Example Example

This is how you can use the document type field to find a cross-dock picking WT:

The regular document category for a picking task is PDO. When you see a different value for the document category, such as PDI, this indicates that the picked stock has been assigned to an inbound delivery. This identifies the cross-docking process.

    End of the example.
