Planner's Home Page

The planner’s home page is a Web application that you can call up in the SAP NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC). It is a start page that can be personalized easily and that you, as a supply chain planner, can use to display the information necessary to perform your daily tasks, and if necessary, navigate to the planning applications where you can change the data that you work on. The planner's home page consists of several content blocks which contain information about, and links to the most common activities that you have.

To use planner's home page functions, you must activate the business function SCM-APO, Planner's Home Page (SCM_APO_HOME_PAGE). For more information, see SCM-APO, Planner's Home Page.

Content Blocks

The planner’s home page contains the following content blocks:

Alert Overview
Shows queries of an alert overview and allows you to navigate to the alert details showing the query result. From the alert details the user can navigate to the Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) applications, taking the context information of one or more alerts. My Objects

Favorite Selections

The content blocks allow you to navigate to the respective interactive transactions in APO or to other applications for further work on the detailed data. Due to the user-specific nature of the information that the planner's home page contains, it can easily be personalized in both content and layout.

Accessing the Planners's Home Page

You can access the planner's home page in one of the following ways:

From SAP NetWeaver Business Client 3.5 for Desktop
Using NetWeaver Business Client for HTML
You can start NWBC for HTML from the system by calling transaction NWBC in the SAP Easy Access screen.

We recommend that you use SAP NetWeaver Business Client 3.5 for Desktop to get the full range of functions of the planner's home.

Configuration

The planner's home page offers three levels of configuring the user interface. We deliver standard settings (configuration level) which can be customized (customization level) for specific user groups by system administrators. The individual users can also personalize (personalization level) the user interface so that it best meets their requirements and working style.

Constraints

If you access the planner's home page from your user menu in the Web browser, the navigation to APO applications is not supported.
