Define Characteristics Propagation You call up the characteristic propagation in the production process model plan under SAP APO master data.
You can use the characteristics propagation for Characteristics-Dependent Planning (CDP). The output material and the logical components that are planned with CDP must be CDP-relevant.
To determine propagation rules, master data (product, location, resource, production process model) must be fully maintained.
For more information, refer to APO Master Data .

The system compares all resources on which the activities of the PPM plan can run. If the class with class type 400 is assigned to all resources, the system will propose this class for the characteristics propagation.

Note
If several alternative products exist for a logical component, these must be assigned the same class.
For block planning, all resources of an activity must be assigned the same CDP class (class type 400). The prerequisites described in block planning also apply.
