Executing Simulative Product Allocation You simulate product allocations by using the information on the SAP APO server.
You made the settings for product allocation .
From the
SAP APO
screen choose
Global ATP
→

→
ATP Simulation.
You branch to the
APO Availability Check: Simulation: Initial Screen
.
Enter the required check data. For a selection of check data, see Simulation of Various Check Methods and RBA .
Note
To execute product allocations, you must choose a valid check mode.(check step of product allocations = 1, no other basic method, no rules-based availability check).
Choose

.
The Characteristic Values for Product Alloc.
Check (Simulation)
dialog box appears.
Enter the characteristic values in the
Characteristic Values for Product Alloc.
Check (Simulation)
dialog box.
Using the characteristic values combination that you enter, the system chooses the product allocations. The system only takes the characteristics that are part of the relevant product allocation group into account. You choose the product allocation groups using the product allocations procedure of the product.
The system searches the characteristics directory of the product allocation group using the characteristics combination. If the search is unsuccessful, the system searches for collective product allocations. If this search also has a negative result (that is, if no collective product allocations are found), the system activates the
Missing characteristics combination
dialog box.
Choose
(
Start simulation
)
The
APO Availability Check: Confirmation Proposal
screen appears.
The result is displayed in the
APO Availability Check: Confirmation Proposal
screen. The result consists of check parameters, product availability date(s) and confirmed quantity (ties).
If you choose
(
Product allocations
), the product allocation results appear.
In the initial screen, the requested and confirmed quantities of the first product allocations step of an item are displayed. The product allocations step is determined from the product allocations procedure of the product from simulation (or the sales order item). The parameters that are used to consume the required quantities against the product allocation quantities are displayed in the header part of the screen.
If a required quantity is confirmed by the system in all product allocations steps, a green traffic light is activated in the corresponding schedule line row. If the quantity could only be partially confirmed, a yellow traffic light appears. If no quantity is confirmed, the traffic light is red. Date shifts are not taken into account by the system when selecting traffic lights in this screen.
If you choose
(Display product allocation situation)
, the product allocation overview as used in the check is displayed. Two other columns are also shown: your own temporary assignment is shown in the second column, and the temporary assignment of all other orders is displayed in the first column.
For an additional selection of functions on the results screen, see Simulation of Various Check Methods and RBA .
