Use

To facilitate the creation of content for SAP NetWeaver Portal, Visual Composer provides the portal content modeling tools. These tools enable visual modeling, deployment and maintenance of portal content objects, such as iViews, pages, roles and worksets.

The following sections contain conceptual and background information about these tools, as well as detailed instructions how to use them.

  • Getting Started

Introduces the portal modeling terminology, architecture and working environment, and guides you through creating your first portal content model

  • Concepts

Provides conceptual and background information about portal content modeling

  • Tasks

Provides detailed instructions for tasks you need to perform when modeling portal content

Note

Since the portal content modeling tools extend Visual Composer, most of the tasks you perform, such as creating, managing and deploying models, rely on the core Visual Composer capabilities. Therefore this documentation in many cases does not provide full descriptions of certain tasks, but rather refers to the corresponding Visual Composer topics in Modeling Composite Views with Visual Composer .

Caution

Be sure to read SAP Note 1081909 Information published on SAP site for the latest information about limitations, known issues, and workarounds for the portal modeling. You can find the note at SAP Service Marketplace: service.sap.com/notes .
