Use

This model of license measurement is aimed at customers that sell services to other companies. Those companies have outsourced business processes to the service providers (Business Process Outsourcing; BPO) The licenses are invoiced based on usage (for example, per invoiced employee or per completed course). The settlement unit depends on the country where usage takes place.

Implementation Considerations

BPO usage measurement is available to customers with a BPO contract that have not signed a traditional license contract with SAP (for which the usage is calculated with system measurement).

Integration

BPO usage measurement is an independent license audit and independent of system measurement. The results are transferred directly to SAP and are not consolidated in the License Auditing Workbench.

BPO usage measurement is client-specific initially. However, you can set up an RFC destination for each system client, whereby an RFC call of the RFC interface enables cross-client processing. This means that you can perform measurement from a client and do not have to log on for each system client.
