Configuring Queue RefreshLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

In the production environment, if the data objects are sync-enabled, it can have an impact on performance. Therefore, you can configure the the behavior of queue refresh when a device connects to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) to synchronize data.

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator

More information: Logging On to SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator

Procedure
  1. Choose the Administration tab page.

  2. Under Device Management , choose Device Profile Administration .

  3. Under Search for Device Profiles , enter the required search criteria and choose Start Search . The data objects are displayed in the Refresh Queue Configuration under Device Profile Details .

The device profile must have the MCD assigned to it.

  4. From the search results, choose the required device profile.

  5. In the Device Profile Operations screen area, choose Configure Refresh Queue .

  6. Select from the following options:

    Option

    Description

    Enable Asynchronous Extract

The extract is triggered asynchronously, which means that the device may not receive the complete data during that particular synchronization cycle.

    Enable Synchronous Extract

The extract is triggered synchronously, which means that the device receives the complete data during that particular synchronization cycle.

    Clear Extract Type

The extract is not triggered automatically when the device connects to the DOE. You need to manually trigger the extract.

    Note

You can set the extract type selecting the required data object and selecting the required extract behavior. These changes are applicable to the devices using these profiles.

  7. Choose Save .

Note

Once you have completed the configuration settings, you can transport these settings from the development environment to systems in the test and production environments. This simplifies your administration tasks because you do not have to repeat this activity for systems in the test and production environments. To transport the configuration settings, choose Transport .
