As an administrator of SAP NetWeaver Voice, you work through a number of activities during the implementation and use of voice applications. You can find below the key administrative activities that you need to complete.
Activities During the Implementation of Voice Applications
Set up a system landscape
You need to set up the necessary systems to implement and use voice applications. The mandatory systems are the third-party VoiceXML gateway, SAP NetWeaver CE for Voice, and one or more voice devices such as telephones and mobiles. In contrast, an SAP R/3 system is optional.

Activities During the Use of Voice Applications
Stop and restart voice applications
Voice applications are deployed from within the SAP NetWeaver Voice Kit in Visual Composer, and are started automatically after deployment and whenever the Java EE engine is restarted.
You use the SAP NetWeaver Administrator to stop a voice application, for various reasons such as:
You want to perform some maintenance activities on your voice application
You want to stop the services of your voice application to your customers temporarily
In the SAP NetWeaver Administrator, voice applications appear among with the other AS Java applications. The name of each voice application must follow the convention, voice_<Development Component name>_<model name> , for example, voice_myDC_mymodel
You can stop and restart voice applications like any other Java EE application.
Undeploy voice applications
You undeploy a voice application when you no longer want to use it. You use the undeploy view of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio to undeploy a voice application.
In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, voice applications appear among the other AS Java applications. The name of each voice application must follow the convention, test~<Development Component name>_impl (<vendor name>) .
Troubleshoot voice applications
You need to troubleshoot voice applications if you encounter problems while implementing or using them. You can regularly check the SAP Notes on the BC-SRV-NWV component. These notes provide information on the most commonly-encountered issues. In addition, you can also view the logs of the AS Java and investigate the cause of the problem.
If you want to view the logs of the third-party VoiceXML gateway, refer to the third-party VoiceXML gateway documentation.
