This characteristic specifies the external number of a card.

The external card number identifies a card in addition to the internal card number (contract GUID). The internal card number is assigned and used by the system.

Together with the card type, card suffix, account identification, and expiration date of the card, the external card number is a user-friendly way of identifying a card. For some card types, the external card number alone is sufficient for identifying the card.
