PCS Reference Date

This characteristic specifies the temporal assignment of a case-related PCS record in the SAP Business Information Warehouse.

Country version Germany:

The determination is carried out as follows:

For inpatient cases (algorithm processes in this sequence)
- Discharge date, if the case is discharged
- Date of the movement to which the DRG principal diagnosis is assigned
- Admission Date
For outpatient cases
Date of the first movement

Country version Austria:

The determination is carried out as follows:

Inpatient cases:
For inpatient cases, SAP BI uses the discharge date of the case first. If the case has still to be discharged, the system uses the date of the most recent NAPHF entry for the case.
If the system was unable to determine the date (case is not discharged and no NAPHF entries exist), it uses the current system date as the reference date.
Outpatient cases:
First movement date
