Analyses for Anonymous Sales Processes For analyses of anonymous sales processes you can perform some analyses in the same way you would analyze customers, albeit replacing the customer with the receipt number of your POS data.
This allows you to include all the POS data from across your organization (for example, store, region and distribution channel) in an analysis. However, you can also limit the analysis to shopping baskets of a certain minimum size to replace the segment of
A
customers. You can use the results of the analysis in your promotion valuation and for assortment optimization.
If you perform a clustering analysis for POS receipts that contain a minimum number of articles or which have total sales over a certain limit, you can determine the customer segments you have and how these are structured and distributed. It may also prove interesting here to examine how your customer base is made up in different stores (store groups). When defining this data model, proceed as with the Customer Data Model .
Note
When analyzing POS receipts you should avoid using the ABC classification. Since sales and the number of articles sold at receipt level are already known when data is transferred to SAP BW, these should also be made available in SAP BW for the selection. This is how the Business Content for POS data in SAP BW is set up. If you proceed in this way the ABC classification for POS data is unnecessary.
Anonymous information is available in SAP BW about sales to your customers at sales (receipt number)/article level or sales (receipt number)/merchandise category in SAP BW.
Customer Loyalty Marketing is available in the Business Content in SAP BW.
As of SAP BW Release 3.0B you can run these analyses if you have data in the InfoCube Receipt/Product (0RT_C31) .
