Defining a Variant to Delete Archived DataLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

A variant allows you to define conditions based on which you can delete the archived data from the log and trace tables, message store tables, or push rules tables. When you want to define a variant to delete the archived data, you must specify whether you want to delete data in the:

  • Test mode

  • Production mode

Procedure


  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver AS and start transaction:

    • SDOE_DELETELOG - to define a variant to delete archived data from the log and trace tables

    • SDOE_DELETEMSG - to define a variant to delete archived data from the message store tables

    • SDOE_DELETEPUSH - to define a variant to delete archived data from the push rules tables

  2. From the Processing Options , select the required mode.

  3. Choose Save .

  4. In the Variant Name field, enter a name for the variant.

  5. In the Meaning field, enter a description for the variant.

  6. To define the behavior of the variant, select the required options.

  7. Choose Save .
