Consolidations can be run using difference consolidation versions. In parallel to consolidating your actual data, versions enable you to carry out alternative consolidations in the form of simulations, planning, restatements, and so forth.

Consolidation versions are made up of an array of special versions. These reflect the various areas of consolidation. For example, there are special versions for "data entry", "tax rate", "currency translation methods", and so on. This makes it possible to define different consolidation versions without redundancy, where such versions are largely identical except for the few areas identified by the special versions.
