Use

Change and Transport System provides you with the following enhancements in Enhancement Package 1 of SAP NetWeaver 7.0:

●      Team capability in Transport Organizer Web UI

You can assign multiple users to a single transport request in Transport Organizer Web UI. A central project lead can make this assignment, so making it easier for users to select the right request.

●      Extended authorization concept for non-ABAP systems

Two new authorization objects can be used to grant system-specific permissions to users in the CTS environment, for example the permission to import or create a transport request, The behavior of display permissions has not been changed.

●      Change Management Services available

If you use SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI), then as of SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 you can also execute transports using Change Management Services (CM Services). The Development Configuration Service and Export Service belong to CM Services.

You can create development configurations in Transport Management System (TMS), and transport single activities and versions of an entire development component (SDA) or software component (SCA) in transport requests.

●      Transports of MDM objects

You can transport changes to repository metadata of SAP Master Data Management 7.1 with CTS. To do this, you must use a file system to append objects to a transport request in the CTS system. These objects are then imported using the file system of the target MDMserver.
