The explanation and simulation functions of the availability check help you to interpret the results of the availability check. They standardize application-specific displays, and offer you quick and easy access to the evaluation of the results, in spite of the advanced features (in comparison with the availability check in the ERP system).

Considering the versatility and complexity of the results from various types of availability checks, the explanation and simulation functions provide evaluations based on simple dialogs (for example, on the location level for the product availability check), product availability dates and confirmed quantities (delivery/confirmation proposals). This component also provides multi-level dialogs for rules-based availability checking using a combination of check methods and taking the different organizational levels (sublocation/version) into account.
