 Creating Restriction Groups

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Production Planning Next navigation step Automated Production Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Model Mix Planning Next navigation step Restriction Maintenance End of the navigation path .

The system displays the screen entitled Access Restriction Maintenance for Model Mix Planning .

  1. Enter the following data:

  • Planning version

  • The planning horizon you use to limit the selection of the restrictions according to a validity period.

  • The production line to which you want to assign the restriction. This line then appears in the application as the default value. You can also enter a group of alternative lines instead of the line.

  1. Choose .

The Maintain Restrictions screen appears.

  1. Select the line in the navigation tree and in the menu, choose Start of the navigation path Restriction Group Next navigation step Create Restriction Group Next navigation step . End of the navigation path

In the data section of the screen, the system displays the screen section entitled Restriction Group .

  1. In the Restriction Group field, enter a description and in the next field you can enter a description for the restriction group. If necessary, enter an authorization group if the restriction group is only to be maintained by certain users.

  1. Enter a start date and, if necessary, an end date for the restriction group.

If you do not enter an end date, the system sets the end date of the restriction group to infinity.

  1. Choose .

The system copies the specifications of the restriction group and displays the restriction group on the left side of the screen.

  1. Choose .
