 Defining an Activity in a Task List

Use

You use activities in a task list to reserve a service area, or describe what has to be carried out for a maintenance task. You can define:

  • One service area activity for a slot task list to reserve a service area.

  • One or more slot activities for a slot task list. The slot activities take place before or after the actual maintenance tasks in the check task list.

  • One or more check activities for a check task list. A check activity is one step in the maintenance task.

Prerequisites

For a service area activity or slot activities, you have created a slot task list.

For check activities, you have created a check task list.

Procedure

  1. On the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Master Data Next navigation step Master Data for Maintenance and Service Planning Next navigation step Maintenance Task List End of the navigation path .

    You can create, edit, and delete an activity in this transaction. This procedure describes how to create an activity.

  2. Open the task list for which you want to define activities and double-click on the task list node.

  3. On the Activities tab, enter the following data:

    Field

    To Create a Service Area Activity

    To Create a Slot Activity

    To Create a Check Activity

    Name

    < Name of service area activity >

    < Name of slot activity >

    < Name of check activity >

    Type

    Service Area Activity

    Slot Activity

    Check Activity

  4. Save your entries.

    The activity appears as a node in the hierarchy of the selected task list.
