Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench

The Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench (TSW) is a sub-component of the SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) and is used for planning the movement of petroleum products.

TSW provides the necessary master data to model the supply chain specifically for the oil and gas industry. The master data objects determine how certain processes are carried out by the system. You can use the TSW terminal location and geographic area master data objects to create location hierarchies for use during planning and scheduling processes.

You can also use functions specific to the oil and gas industry in SAP APO Demand Planning and Supply Network Planning.

The scheduling and nomination processes enable the scheduler to plan goods movements and meet demand. In combination with the TSW component in SAP Oil&Gas you can use SAP APO for transportation planning, vehicle scheduling, and nomination activities. To use the combination of planning and scheduling functions, the TSW indicator must be activated in Customizing. To do this, in Customizing choose  SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) Transportaion Planning/Vehicle Scheduling (TP/VS) Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench (TSW) Activate TSW and Subcomponents .
