Planned Order Management This component includes functions for managing planned orders, which are based on the master data from
Integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE).
You can use these components both for
Repetitive Manufacturing with iPPE
, as well as for shop-floor-orientated production with iPPE.
The advantage of implementing this component, is that the information and functions used for editing planned orders, which have been previously acquired from different components, are integrated together in a comfortable working environment. Examples of processing functions are backflush, the fixing of components, or alternative line switching. You cannot however execute any planning functions.
The production planning is executed within
Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
. You can carry out a single BOM explosion for configurable as well as non-configurable products (individual explosion within iPPE).
For planning component requirements for configurable products, you can also use the
Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM).
This is essentially an extension of the
Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling
(PP/DS)
component, with regard to the BOM explosion. Instead of exploding the bills of material individually, the system explodes for many orders in a matrix at the same time. Planned orders, which are planned using the Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM), are described as matrix orders.
These components can only be implemented in combination with
Integrated Product and Process Engineering
(
iPPE
).
Several different components are integrated in
planned order management (POM):
