Quota Arrangement The quota arrangement indicates the percentage of a required quantity of a product that is to be procured from a source of supply (incoming quota arrangement) or delivered to a location (outgoing quota arrangement). This percentage specifies which part of a product quantity split is to be assigned to a transportation lane.
Quota arrangements can be defined on both a version and model-dependent basis as well as on both a product-dependent and product-independent basis. Furthermore, quota arrangements are defined for a certain area of validity.
The starting point is the source location of a delivery. An incoming quota arrangement specifies for each product which part of the quantity is to be supplied by which of the possible source locations. Possible source locations are all locations that are listed as source locations of transportation lanes for a certain destination location.
Incoming quota arrangements can be defined for the following source-of-supply types:
Locations (transportation lanes)
External procurement relationships
SAP APO only: In-house production (production process models, iPPE access objects, or production data structures.
The starting point is the destination location for a delivery. An outgoing quota arrangement specifies for each product which part of the product quantity is to be transported to which of the possible destination locations. Possible destination locations are all directions or destination locations of transportation lanes that start at the defined source location.
Outgoing quota arrangements can only be created for locations.
