Replacing a Backup or Slave Host 

Use

You can replace a backup or slave host with a new host. You may want to do this if the current host needs to be maintained and will therefore be unavailable for a while.

Replacing a Backup Host

...

       1.      Add a new backup host to the distributed system.

       2.      Remove the previous backup host from the distributed system.

Replacing a Slave Host

...

       1.      Remove the previous slave host from the distributed system.

       2.      Add a new slave host to the distributed system.
