Selecting Data

You define which data the system displays on the audit trail screen:

  • Days into the Past

You specify how far into the past you want the system to display the change history. To do so, enter a number of days. The audit trail screen shows when an object, for example, a key figure, was changed within the specified period.

  • Start of Evaluated Time Bucket/End of Evaluated Time Bucket

You determine the period for which you want to analyze key figures or stock figures. The audit trail screen displays the logged changes to key figures or stock values for this time bucket.

Displaying the Data

Table

The audit trail shows all changes to inventory and key figure values within the defined time bucket in the past. The column titles indicate the time at which the change was made on a certain date. The system shows the values of all key figures in a column, even if only one key figure has changed and the others remain unchanged.

Graphic

You can also display the changes to the key figures and to the inventory that were recorded by the audit trail in a graphical view.

Activities

You can call the audit trail function from the detailed screens and product view of the monitors and from the Web menu under:

  • Start of the navigation path Replenishment Next navigation step Tracking End of the navigation path

  • Start of the navigation path SNI Next navigation step SNI Audit Trail End of the navigation path

Example

At the end of January, you know that you and your suppliers have frequently changed the key figures in the SNI Monitor. You want to know precisely which changes were made in the last 30 days to the Planned Receipts, Firm Demand, Planned Demand, and Forecast key figures for the time bucket February 2007. You want to analyze these changes in detail with the audit trail.

To do so, you enter the following data in the selection area of the audit trail screen:

  • Days into the Past: 30

  • Start of Evaluated Time Bucket: February 01, 2007

  • End of Evaluated Time Bucket: February 28, 2007

The audit trail shows all changes made in the last 30 days. The following table shows an example:
