Selecting Data

You define which data the system displays in the history comparison as follows:

  • History date: You define the dates for which the key figures or inventory valid at that particular time are to be displayed. If you enter only one date in the past and leave the second date empty, the history comparison uses today's date as the second date.

  • Time horizon for the history comparison: The history comparison automatically selects the earlier history date as the beginning of the time horizon. For the end of the time horizon, the system selects the later history date plus the duration of the time horizon in the time buckets settings.

  • The columns of the history comparison are automatically set to Daily.

Displaying the Data

The history comparison displays the historical key figures or inventory for the time horizon selected. The data for history dates 1 and 2 is displayed as two separate lines one below the other.

Example

You want the SNI Monitor to display which firm receipts were expected for a particular product on March 1, 2007 and March 15, 2007 for the period ranging from March 1, 2007 to April 9, 2007. Enter the following dates in the SNI History Comparison (Key Figures):

  • History date 1: 01.03.2007

  • History date 2: 10.03.2007

You have set a time frame of 30 days in the time buckets settings.

The history comparison thus displays the history data for the time frame ranging from March 1, 2007 to April 9, 2007. The data for the beginning of April may look as follows:
