Creating and Publishing Web Sites
Users in specialist departments can use the Web Page Composer to create and publish Web sites for a company's own intranet or for an external information portal.
Site owners in specialist departments can create, maintain, and publish both content and the navigation structure of their area independently of the IT department.
You can delegate the creation and publishing of individual pages on your site to editors. Authors can also contribute individual articles or other content.

Composer - Concepts
Your administrator has already carried out the initial configuration steps for the Web Page Composer. He or she has created a Web site and entered the site owner as a permission owner in the root folder for the site.
...
1. Site owner: Manage the folder structure in which the content of your Web site is stored.
Give editors and authors write permission for the folder in which they are to store Web pages, articles, and other content.
More information: Managing the Folder Structure of a Web Site
2. Authors: Create articles, teasers, link lists, and other Web content.
You can use forms delivered with the application to do this.

3. Editors: Create and publish Web pages.
The delivery contains several page layouts for Web pages. A page layout contains several containers into which you can insert articles, link lists, and other Web content.

4. Site owners: Add Web pages to the site navigation structure and publish the structure.
An administrator has to integrate the site navigation structure into the portal navigation structure. This step takes place only once for each Web site. Site owners in specialist departments can then update the navigation structure whenever they want.

5. Editors (optional): Localize Web pages.
You can use localization to achieve the following:
○ Display Web pages in several languages.
○ Display different content depending on the region of the logged on user.

6. Site Owners/Editors (optional): Use an existing Web site or Web page as a template.
WPC allows you to create copies of existing Web sites and Web pages. This is especially useful when you have to create a set of Web sites or Web pages with similar structure and content.
