Background documentationRelationship Between TLB Shipment, RO, PO No., and SO No.

A TLB shipment, replenishment order (RO), purchase order number (PO no.), and sales order number (SO no.) are related as follows:

  • A TLB shipment can comprise one or - in case of splitting - multiple ROs.

  • An RO can have one or multiple items.

  • An RO item can have several request schedule lines. However, the TLB service can only create one request schedule line per item. Note that the integration with an SAP ERP back-end system only supports one-schedule-line items for ROs.

  • When you publish an RO, the RO is automatically assigned a SO number at header level and a PO number at item level. In the standard system, all items of an RO are assigned the same PO number. The ROs of the TLB shipments are assigned different SO numbers and different PO numbers.

    Note Note

In the TLB Shipment Details section of the TLB Shipment screen, each line represents one schedule line of an RO item. In the standard system, the PO number is the same for all (schedule) lines that belong to one RO.

    End of the note.
