In file transfer, the system automatically generates the following types of e-mails:

  • File notification e-mail with attachment

  • File notification e-mail with link

You use the Create E-Mail Texts for File Download Notifications (/SCF/FTR_CREATE_EMAIL_TEXT) report to maintain e-mail texts for file transfer. You can create an e-mail text or you can change the SAP e-mail text template and create a variant.

Features

SAPscript

The report calls up the SAPscript editor where you create the e-mail text. Use only those formatting features of SAPscript that are valid for standard text files. Other formatting (for example images or typefaces and so on) are not displayed in the e-mails. Activities

To access the report, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path  Supply Network Collaboration Next navigation step Tools Next navigation step File Transfer Next navigation step Create E-Mail Texts for File Download Notifications End of the navigation path.

If you want to change the positions of placeholders, you must set the SAPscript editor mode from the word editor to the line editor. To do so, choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Change Editor End of the navigation path during an open SAPscript session.

You assign file transfer e-mail texts to business partners in Customizing for SAP Supply Network Collaboration under Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step File Transfer Next navigation step Determine E-Mail Texts End of the navigation path.
