Procedure documentationCorrecting an Executed Declaration Locate this document in the navigation structure

If you have executed an Intrastat declaration and created a declaration file, the status of the declaration is set to Closed.

You can correct an executed declaration in one of the following ways:

  • For countries that allow correction declarations, create a correction declaration to correct the executed declaration.

    Note Note

You can create a correction declaration based only on a new declaration, but not on a nil declaration.

    End of the note.
  • For countries that do not allow correction declarations, reopen the executed declaration to make necessary changes or create another declaration to overwrite the reopened declaration.

For countries that allow correction declarations, you can correct a correction declaration by doing either of the following:

  • Reopen the correction declaration to make necessary changes.

  • Create a new correction declaration.

Countries that allow correction declarations are listed below:

  • BE – Belgium

  • CZ – Czech Republic

  • ES – Spain

  • IT – Italy

  • NL – Netherlands

If you correct an executed declaration by reopening it and creating another declaration to overwrite it, you need to fill in the same “set of fields” so that the system recognizes that you are correcting an existing declaration. Depending on your declaration country, the “set of fields” differs as listed in the “Set of Fields” table below.

If you correct an executed declaration by creating a correction declaration, you also need to fill in the same “set of fields” except for the Declaration Type field.
