Note Note

You can delete a bin location only if it has not been used in any settings, documents or transactions.

You cannot delete a system bin location.

In case you have accidentally created bin locations with the wrong information, SAP Business One lets you delete the bin locations.

SAP Business One can delete bin locations in batches automatically. Alternatively, you can delete bin locations manually.

To manually delete bin locations, do the following:

  1. From the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Inventory   Bin Locations   Bin Location Master Data  .

  2. Find the bin location that you want to delete.

  3. In the Bin Location Master Data window, do one of the following:

    • Right-click and choose Remove.

    • In the menu bar, choose   Data   Remove  .

To let SAP Business One delete the bin locations for you, proceed as follows:

Prerequisites

You have enabled bin locations for your warehouse.

Procedure

  1. From the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Inventory   Bin Locations   Bin Location Management  .

    The Bin Location Management window opens.

  2. In the Management Task field, select Delete Bin Locations from the dropdown list.

  3. In the Select Bin Locations section, select a range of bin locations that you want to delete.

  4. In the Expanded Selection Criteria section, specify the properties of the bin locations you want to delete to further narrow down the bin location range.

  5. Choose the OK pushbutton.

    The Bin Location Management – Deletion Preview window opens, where you can preview the bin locations that you expect to be deleted.

    Note Note

    If the bin locations cannot be deleted, you can see the detailed error description in the Error Details column.

  6. In the Bin Location Management – Deletion Preview window, choose the Delete pushbutton.
