Use this window to create, update and view asset classes.
To open this window, from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose
.Enter a unique code for the asset class. |
If required, enter a description of the asset class. |
Select one of the following asset types:

Note The field is available only if you have selected Low Value Asset in the Asset Type field. End of the note. Enter the lower limit for low value assets. |

From the dropdown list, select the attribute group that you want to assign to the asset class. By default, Default Attribute Group is selected. The default attribute group contains the following four predefined attributes:

Specify the depreciation areas for the asset class. Note You must specify at least one main depreciation area. End of the note. |
Select the checkbox to indicate that the depreciation area is active for the asset class. The system calculates the asset depreciation in all active depreciation areas. Note At least one depreciation area must be active. End of the note. |
Specify the account determination for the Posting to G/L type of depreciation areas. |
Specify the depreciation type in the depreciation area. Later, when you assign the asset class to an asset, you can still change the depreciation type in the asset master data. Note For the derived depreciation area, you cannot specify a depreciation type. End of the note. |
Enter the useful life in months for the assets in this asset class. Later, when you assign the asset class to an asset, you can still change the useful life in the asset master data. Note For the derived depreciation area, you cannot specify a useful life. End of the note. |
