Use this subtab to view an asset's planned and posted depreciations at different periods of each year.

The current depreciation area and the fiscal year are displayed in the upper right corner of the subtab. You can change them manually to display the values for a different depreciation area or fiscal year.

To access the subtab, from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Financials   Fixed Assets   Asset Master Data  . Select the Fixed Assets tab and then the Depreciation subtab.

Depreciation Subtab Fields
Planned Depreciation

Displays the depreciation amount planned for the asset in each period.

The planned depreciation includes all depreciations planned for the asset, both automatic and manual.

Posted Depreciation

Displays the depreciation amount that has already been posted to the general ledger accounts for the asset in each period.

The following formula shows the relations between the posted, automatic and manual depreciation:

Planned Depreciation = Automatic Depreciation + Manual Depreciation

To post depreciation to the general ledger accounts, use the depreciation run. For more information, see Depreciation Run.

Automatic Depreciation

Displays the automatic depreciation amount that has been posted to the general ledger accounts for the asset in each period.

The automatic depreciation refers to the depreciation automatically carried out by the system.

Manual Depreciation

Displays the manual depreciation amount that has been posted to the general ledger accounts for the asset in each period.

The manual depreciation refers to all depreciations that you have carried out manually using the Manual Depreciation documents.
