Use this window to enter and update batch numbers.
To open the window, from the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose
. Choose the Update or Complete option and choose the OK button.The number of the document used to define or update the batch numbers. |
(Add mode only) The total number of batch units you want to create for the item. |
(Update mode only) The number of batch units that must be created for the item. |
The total number of batch units you have created for the item. |
Specify the defined batch number. This value is view-only in Update mode. |
Specify the quantity of the items in the batch numbers. This value is read-only in Update mode. |
Note The field is available only if you have enabled bin locations for at least one warehouse. If you have not enabled bin locations for the warehouse in the Rows from Documents table, this field is blank. End of the note. Displays the bin location code as follows:
To view the batch's detailed inventory information in the bin locations, click (Link Arrow) before the bin location code to open the bin location contents list. |
Note The field is available only if you have enabled bin locations for at least one warehouse. If you have not enabled bin locations for the warehouse in the Rows from Documents table, this field is blank and not editable. End of the note. Displays how many items in the batch are allocated to the bin locations which have already been appointed in the base receipt document. You must allocate the entire batch to the bin locations; otherwise, the field is marked in red and you cannot add the window. To manually allocate the batch items to the bin locations, click (Link Arrow) to open the Batch Allocation in Bin Locations. |
Enter an additional number or attribute for the batch. |

Enter a description of the batch's location. For example, you can specify the exact section or container in which the batch is stored. |
Add any additional details about the batch. |
(Add mode only) The number of batches that have been created for the item. |
(Add mode only) The total number of units in the batches created for the item. |
(Add mode only) Opens the Automatic Batch Creation window where you specify batch creation details. |
(Update mode only) Opens the Automatic Batch Update window where you make the necessary changes to existing batch numbers. |
Current status of the batch: Released – lets you perform transactions on a batch. Not Accessible – the batch is in the middle of a production process or a quality check; you cannot release it in a sales document or A/P credit memo. However, you can release it in an inventory transfer document. Locked – you can release the batch in inventory documents only, for example, an inventory transfer or goods issue. |
