Use this window to view detailed information about the inventory in bin locations.

To access this window, do the following:

  1. From the SAP Business One Main Menu, choose   Inventory   Inventory Reports   Bin Location Content List  .

  2. In the Bin Location Content List – Selection Criteria window, specify the selection criteria and choose OK.

Bin Location Content List Window Fields
Display Batch/Serial Numbers

Select the checkbox to display the batch and serial numbers.

Select

Select the bin location row before you proceed with any of the following:

  • Opening the inventory posting list with the details about the receipts and issues in the bin location

  • Replenishing the inventory in the bin location

  • Clearing the inventory from the bin location

  • Setting the bin location as the default bin location for the item

To select multiple rows, press the Shift key on your keyboard while selecting the checkboxes.

Bin Location

Displays the bin location code.

To view the details about the bin locations, open the Bin Location Master Data window by clicking Link Arrow (Link Arrow) to the left of the bin location code.

Item Qty

Displays either of the following:

  • If you do not select the Display Batch/Serial Numbers checkbox, the field displays the quantity of each item in the bin location.

  • If you select the Display Batch/Serial Numbers checkbox, the field displays one of the following:

    • For a regular item, it displays the quantity of the item in the bin location.

    • For a serial item, it displays the quantity of the serial in the bin location, which is always 1.

    • For a batch item, it displays the item quantity of the batch in the bin location.

Batch No.

Displays the batch number.

Serial Number

The field is available only if you have selected the Display Batch/Serial Numbers checkbox.

Minimum Qty

Displays the minimum quantity of items for the bin location.

Maximum Qty

Displays the maximum quantity of items for the bin location.

Item Restrictions

Displays the bin location’s item restriction status as any of the following:

  • None

  • Specific Item

  • Single Item Only

  • Specific Item Group

  • Single Item Group Only

Restricted To

Displays the item or item group to which the bin location is restricted.

If there is no item restriction for the bin location, the field is blank.

Batch Restrictions

Displays the bin location’s batch restriction status as either of the following:

  • None

  • Single Batch

Current Batch

If the bin location is restricted to a single batch, the field displays the batch that is currently stored in the bin location.

If there is no batch restriction for the bin location, the field is blank.

Transaction Restrictions

Displays the bin location's transaction status as any of the following:

  • None

  • All Transactions

  • Inbound Transactions

  • Outbound Transactions

  • All Except Inventory Transfer and Counting

Last Updated On

Displays the last date on which you updated the transaction restrictions of the bin location.

Reason

Displays the reason for the transaction restrictions of the bin location.

Qty Below Min.

Note Note

The field is blank unless the following conditions are met:

  • You have not selected the Display Batch/Serial Numbers checkbox.

  • The bin location meets either of the following criteria:

    • The bin location contains a single item and the item quantity is not zero.

    • The bin location is restricted to a specific item and the item quantity is zero.

Displays the difference between the Item Qty and Minimum Qty as follows:

Qty Below Min. = Minimum QtyItem Qty

If the quantity in this field is greater than zero, it means the inventory level in the bin location falls below the minimum. In this case, you can decide whether to replenish the inventory in the bin location.

Replenishment Qty

The field is blank unless the following conditions are met:

  • You have not selected the Display Batch/Serial Numbers checkbox.

  • The bin location meets either of the following criteria:

    • The bin location contains a single item and the item quantity is not zero.

    • The bin location is restricted to a specific item and the item quantity is zero.

Displays the difference between the Item Qty and Maximum Qty as follows:

Replenishment Qty = Maximum QtyItem Qty

During replenishment, this quantity is used to ensure the inventory in the bin location is replenished to the maximum.

Alert

Displays whether alert notifications are sent when inventory counting is due for this item.

User

Displays the user to whom the inventory counting alerts are sent.

Cycle Code

Displays the cycle code you specified for the corresponding warehouse sublevel in the Cycle Count Determination <Warehouse Sublevel> - Setup window.

Next Count Date

Displays the date of the next inventory count according to the cycle code you have selected.

Inventory Posting List

To view the details about the receipts and issues of the items in the bin locations, choose the pushbutton to open the inventory posting list.

Bin Location Transfer

Choose the pushbutton to select either of the following options:

  • Clear Bin Locations – Clears the inventory of the items in the selected bin locations

    Once you select this option, the Inventory Transfer window opens with the selected bin locations on the issuing end and the default bin locations on the receiving end. You can manually adjust the information in the window before you add it.

  • Replenish Bin Locations – Replenishes the inventory of the items in the selected bin locations

    Once you select this option, the Inventory Transfer window opens with the selected bin locations on the receiving end. For more information, see Replenishing Bin Locations.

Set as Default Bin Loc.

To set the bin location in the selected row as the default bin location for the item in the same row, choose the pushbutton.

If you happen to select multiple rows with the same item but different bin locations, the system prompts an error as you cannot set multiple default bin locations for a single item.
